A turmoil if we say has locked the people into invisible chains. As fellow citizens and for our safety we need to follow the rules and guidelines laid down by the Government. We would suggest that 21 Day lock down against COVID-19 is a blessing in Disguise. An opportunity like never before offered by nature itself. Trust me, when I say this is nature’s doing. Observing the Coronavirus outbreak in China, Italy and various other countries, it is now more than important to stay at home next 24 days. But what will you do in these precious days? What you can achieve in this 21 Days Lockdown?
Develop a Skill
Have you heard about the study that claims that humans just take 21 days to master a skill? It is because we take 21 days to create an effective habit. Its 2020 people, there are numbers of new skills to be learned and ton’s of new jobs will be created. You are a google search away to find what skills are necessary in 2020. Did you always had in the back of your mind to master or learn a particular skill? Well, what can be a best time than this one? Who would have thought that the programming language you wanted to learn, or the German Language you had thought to learn about a 4 months ago but never really got the time to invest in. But today, we ain’t giving any excuse. It’s the action time.
Read 3 Books
Have you heard about that speed reading? Well you need not learn about that because now you have ample amount of time to read. Set a goal. Read One book a week. So, by the end of the lockdown day you would have completed Three books. Three books? Can you imagine? Most people don’t even read One book in a whole year. Reading channels your mind into different dimensions. Readers are leaders, have you heard about this age old saying? Though readers are day dreamers who invent new things into being. Invest in your mind and it will never deceive you.
Networking in Tumultuous Times
The last month you reminded yourself to call your long lost friend who is living in the other side of the country. But you never really got the time. But, given to your luck, P.M Narendra Modi announced the 21 Day lockdown. Seems like amidst the crisis of COVID- 19 and lockdown, now you cannot make any excuse.
Call your old friends from College days with whom you have lost touch. Network with like minded online Communities or Forums. Quora and Reddit are the good place to start. You can also start an online networking community deciding your niche.
Build a Habit
As we told you before, studies show that it takes about 21 days to build any new habit. While the amusing thing is that it also takes just 21 days to break any habit. 21 days lockdown is actually a mission challenge. Start your mission of building a new habit or breaking an old habit which is not serving your and society’s wellbeing.
Strengthen Family Bond
When was the last time you had lunch with your family? When was the last time you were playing cards with your loved ones? Can’t remember? How can you remember? You were so much involved in the outside gross world. 21 Day Lockdown challenge has given you the opportunity to invest in your family ties. Make the most of it. Family is important beyond everything that stands.
Plan for the future
Take out your long, since forsaken journal. Write down the goals you would like to accomplish in this year. Make the realistic chart. Make sense of what you already know. Try to embark on journey towards unknown. Make the way for the future. The best way to predict future is to create it. – Said by Peter Drucker and Abraham Lincoln. Quite amusing one man was a management scholar and other the leader of a powerful country. Both of them maintained a journal and wrote their own lives. If you write down your own future, you will go down in history.
Meditate – The “ME TIME”
Now there are plenty of apps available to learn how to meditate. You need not visit some bare ashram in the hills of Himalayans. Its all there in your phone. Spend your “Me time” which you barely used to get before the world came to a halt. Our lives revolved around activities and now you need to keep yourself sane at home. Meditation will serve the purpose of keeping you calm and serene. Meditation will help you reflect back in past, will teach you how to live in present while at the same time no fear of future will ever worry you. ?
Mediation won’t help to Wipe out the Coronavirus outbreak, but it will surely ease out the stress and help you with creative endeavours.
Exercise
So what if all the gyms are closed, you still have got to maintain yourself in shape. Don’t be lazy, rotting away in bed. Boost your Testosterone by exercising everyday for atleast 30 minutes. Do it at the same time when you used to go gym so you may feel that aldlerline rush.
If you never went to gym, this is the best time to create a new habit to maintain your health. Research shows in higher brain activity due to exercising and meditation.
Pursue your Hobby
You liked to play guitar? But never got the time to master it? Is it what you mention as hobby In a personality test, but never really pursued that hobby beyond the beginners level. Then this is opportunity handled straight to you. Pursue it and apload a video of yours playing guitar.
The Coronavirus has hit us hard. If we don’t be responsible and take effective measures, then there will be catastrophe. Therefore, it is necessary to stay inside. These 21 Days Lockdown will go down in history. We are witnessing something unusual. A plague such as these occurred an almost a century ago in 1918.
